PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. They include a binding individual arbitration provision and class-action waiver (see "Disputes"), a release of liability and assumption of risk, and references to the Content & Mental Health Warning that describes material risks of engaging with the protocols in our publications. By downloading, accessing, or using the Stan Taylor mobile app or the web reader at my.stantaylor.com (together, the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you take part in the Readers' Room, the Community Guidelines also apply and are part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App is operated by Hashtag Publishing LLC ("Company", "we", "us"), a Wyoming limited liability company. "Stan Taylor" is a pen name and brand name; references to Stan Taylor refer to the Company, its content, and its intellectual property. Contact: hello@stantaylor.com, 1021 E Lincolnway Suite #7583, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001, United States. These Terms apply to the App and the web reader; use of stantaylor.com is governed by its own Terms of Service.
The App delivers books, audiobooks, and related materials published by the Company, including The Black Book of Power and The Little Dictator, together with resources, posts, reading tools, and the Readers' Room, a members-only space where readers of the books talk to each other (see "The Readers' Room" below). Everything in the App is provided strictly for entertainment, educational, and informational purposes. Nothing in the App is professional advice of any kind, whether medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal, or financial, and no professional relationship (including therapist-client, doctor-patient, attorney-client, coach-client, or fiduciary) is created by your purchase, reading, listening, or application of any material, or by anything another member writes. You alone decide whether and how to apply anything you read or hear, and you accept full responsibility for that decision.
The App is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, able to form a binding contract, and, because certain publications contain psychologically demanding protocols, you represent that you possess the baseline psychological stability necessary to engage with the content safely, as described in the Content & Mental Health Warning.
Sign-in uses one-time email codes; there are no passwords. You agree to provide an accurate email address, to keep control of that inbox, and to notify us of any suspected unauthorized access. One account is for one person. Two devices may be signed in at the same time; signing in on a third asks you to sign one of them out, and you can sign devices out yourself in Settings. You can permanently delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, which erases your account and synced data as described in the Privacy Policy.
When you buy a book (or redeem a valid claim code), you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to read, listen to, and download that book within the App, on devices signed in to your account, forever. The books, audio, and all other content remain the property of the Company and its licensors, protected by U.S. and international copyright law. You may not:
• copy, print, export, record, screen-capture, or otherwise extract book text or audio, except through features the App itself provides (such as watermarked quote cards and quoting the books inside the Readers' Room);
• share, resell, lease, sublicense, or publicly perform any content, or share account access to circumvent purchases;
• reverse engineer the App, circumvent content protection, scrape content, or access it with automated tools;
• use the content to train, fine-tune, or ground any artificial-intelligence model or dataset.
Brief quotations for criticism, review, or scholarship remain permitted under fair use. Violations may result in immediate termination of your account and revocation of digital entitlements, in addition to the Company's other legal remedies.
Books purchased on stantaylor.com or included with hardcovers arrive as claim codes. Codes attach a book to exactly one account: signing in with your order email claims them automatically, or you can redeem a code manually. Every hardcover includes the ebook and audiobook; the audiobook always includes the ebook. Refunding an order revokes the digital entitlements it granted. Codes are entitlements, not money or gift cards, and have no cash value. Refunds for stantaylor.com orders follow the Refund Policy.
The App sells nothing. Every purchase happens on stantaylor.com; the App only unlocks what you already own. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, tips, or paid features, and nothing in the Readers' Room may be bought or sold. The Company does not receive or store your payment card details.
This section contains a release. Read it carefully. Certain publications available in the App describe protocols and exercises designed to produce real psychological and neurological disruption, surfacing suppressed emotional material, interrupting embedded behavioral patterns, and dissolving identity structures. Engaging with them carries inherent risks, including psychological discomfort and emotional distress, described more fully in the Content & Mental Health Warning.
By using the App you acknowledge that your engagement is voluntary and informed, and you assume all associated risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Company, its owners, officers, employees, agents, contractors, licensors, successors, and assigns (the "Released Parties") from all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or harm, whether psychological, emotional, physical, financial, relational, reputational, or otherwise, sustained by you or any third party as a result of your engagement with, interpretation of, or application of any content in the App, including content written by other members. You expressly waive the protections of California Civil Code Section 1542 and any similar law of any jurisdiction concerning claims unknown at the time of release, and you agree this release remains effective even if you later discover such claims.
The Content & Mental Health Warning is part of these Terms and you should read it before engaging with the protocols. In short: the App is not therapy and no author, moderator, or member is a licensed clinician; certain exercises can activate traumatic material; and if you are in crisis, with active suicidal ideation, psychosis, or severe dissociation, stop and seek professional help immediately. In the United States, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line); elsewhere, find local lines at findahelpline.com. Our email and community channels are not crisis services.
The frameworks in our publications are presented for education. They are not instructions or encouragement to engage in unlawful, harmful, or unethical conduct, and the Company expressly condemns using them to violate law, professional codes, or the dignity and autonomy of other people. You are solely responsible for ensuring your application of any concept complies with all applicable laws and, if you are a licensed professional, with the ethical standards of your profession. Nothing in the App overrides any legal obligation you hold, including mandatory reporting requirements.
Who can take part. The Readers' Room ("the Room") is a members-only space inside the App for adults who have bought or been granted a Stan Taylor title. You must be 18 or older. Before entering you enter your date of birth; we keep only the result of that check and the method used, not the date. Where Apple or Google provide an age signal for your account, we may use it as well. If the check shows you are under 18, or if we learn later that you are, the Room stays closed to your account and anything you posted is removed. The Room may be closed, opened to a limited group, or paused at any time; while it is closed you may still be able to read the author's posts.
Your name and profile. You take part under the name on your book order (first and last name, as you gave it at checkout) or under a random name the App assigns, and you may switch between the two once; typed-in names are not offered. You may add an optional photo, a short bio, and a colour or emoji for your circle. Names and photos that imitate Stan Taylor, the Company, its team, or another member are not allowed. Your profile and your contributions are visible to signed-in members only. Every contribution is tied to your account on our side, so the rules, reports, and blocks apply to it even if you change your name.
What you may post. Text and photos in posts and comments, reactions, links to chapters of the books and to other posts, and private messages to other members. You must own or have the right to share what you post. You may quote the Company's books. You may not post long excerpts of other people's copyrighted work, files or links to pirated material, or photos you do not have the right to use.
What is not allowed. The Community Guidelines list the prohibited content and are part of these Terms. In summary: illegal content of any kind; any sexual content; threats, incitement, or graphic violence; harassment or bullying of anyone; hate; promotion or instruction of self-harm or disordered eating; private information about anyone, including photos of identifiable people without their consent and screenshots of private conversations; impersonation and scams; advertising, recruitment, and selling; medical, supplement, financial, or other dangerous instruction presented as advice; and copyright infringement. The Room may discuss ideas; it may not instruct people to harm themselves or others.
How the Room is moderated. Every post, comment, profile photo, and private message is checked by an automated system before other members can see it, and any of it may be reviewed by a person. The automated check is performed for the Company by Anthropic, PBC, the maker of the Claude models, which processes the text and photos only for that purpose and does not use them to train its models. Content that is unclear is held until a person decides; content that clearly breaks the rules is not published; content that describes personal distress is held with care and shown crisis resources, never rejected for that reason alone. If the automated system is unavailable, content waits rather than being published unchecked. We may remove content, restrict features, suspend posting or messaging, or close the Room to an account, with or without notice, when the rules are broken or when we believe it necessary to protect members, to comply with law, or to respond to a valid legal notice.
Decisions, strikes, and appeals. When your contribution is held, not published, or removed, the App tells you which rule applies and whether an automated system or a person decided. You can appeal in the App; a person who did not make the first decision reviews the appeal, normally within seven days, and the App tells you the outcome. Repeated rule breaking follows a ladder: a first breach is a warning; a second pauses posting and messaging for seven days; a third pauses them for thirty days; a fourth closes the Room permanently for the account. Serious cases, including illegal content, threats, and anything involving minors, can close the Room immediately and be reported to the authorities.
Private messages. Messages are private between the two members. They are checked by the automated system before delivery, and a message that breaks the rules is not delivered; the sender is told why. Nobody at the Company reads private messages unless one of the two members reports the conversation, a legal obligation requires it, or safety demands it. You can block any member at any time; a blocked member cannot message you or see your profile or contributions, and you will not see theirs.
Reports, blocks, and mutes. Every post, comment, photo, profile, and message carries a "Report" action; every profile carries "Block" and "Mute" actions. We aim to act on reports within 24 hours, and within one hour for urgent categories. Reporters receive a receipt and, later, the outcome, without details about the other member. Anyone, member or not, can report a concern about the Room at my.stantaylor.com/support or by email to hello@stantaylor.com.
Licence to the Company. You keep ownership of what you post. You grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce, adapt for display, and distribute your contributions within the App and the web reader, to other members, for as long as the contribution is available, and to keep copies as required for moderation records and by law. This licence is limited to operating the Room. The Company will not use your contributions to train artificial-intelligence models, for advertising, or outside the Room without your separate consent.
Deleting your content. You can delete your own posts and comments at any time, and remove a conversation from your inbox. Deleted posts and comments disappear from the Room at once and are permanently erased 30 days later, unless a report about them is open or the Company must keep them under a legal hold. A message you have sent stays in the other member's inbox until they remove the conversation or either account is deleted. Deleting your account removes your profile and your contributions, including messages you sent; records of moderation decisions are kept for up to twelve months with your identity replaced by a code.
No advice, no endorsement. Members' contributions are their own opinions and experiences. They are not advice of any kind, medical, psychological, legal, or financial, and the Company does not endorse, verify, or vouch for them. Badges such as "Group expert" recognise a member's contribution to the Room; they are not professional credentials. The Company is not responsible for what members write, and does not undertake to monitor everything, although it may.
Availability. The Room is offered where the App is available, except in countries where the Company has decided not to offer it. The Company may pause the Room, or parts of it such as photos, comments, or messages, at any time.
Responsibility for what you post. You are responsible for your contributions. You agree to indemnify the Company for claims arising from content you post in breach of these Terms, as set out in "Indemnification".
Complaints and notices. For notices about content, including copyright and legal requests, and as the Company's single point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act, write to hello@stantaylor.com or to Hashtag Publishing LLC, 1021 E Lincolnway Suite #7583, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001, United States. Copyright complaints follow the Copyright Policy; intimate images posted without consent follow the Intimate Image Removal Policy. We accept communications from readers and authorities in English and Spanish.
Stan Taylor, The Black Book of Power, The Little Dictator, the App's design, and all logos and marks are trademarks or trade dress of the Company. All content is protected by copyright; all rights not expressly granted are reserved. If you believe content in the App, including content posted by a member of the Readers' Room, infringes your copyright, send a notification meeting the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to our designated agent as described in the Copyright Policy: Copyright Agent, Hashtag Publishing LLC, 1021 E Lincolnway Suite #7583, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001, United States, hello@stantaylor.com. We remove or disable access to material identified in a valid notice, accept counter-notices as the law provides, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Repeat infringers. Every valid copyright notice against your content is a strike. After two valid notices you can no longer post; a third closes the Readers' Room to your account. We may act after a single flagrant infringement, such as sharing a pirated copy of a book. If your content is removed after a notice you believe was mistaken, you can send a counter-notice as the Copyright Policy describes; unless the claimant tells us within the statutory period that they have filed a court action, the content comes back in 10 to 14 business days.
Intimate images. An intimate image of an identifiable person, real or computer-generated, posted without that person's consent, is removed within 48 hours of a valid request under the Intimate Image Removal Policy, its fingerprint is kept so that identical copies cannot be uploaded again, and the account that posted it is closed. Where the person shown may be under 18, we also report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as United States law requires.
Legal requests. We preserve and disclose account information and content when valid legal process requires it, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent harm to a person. Where the law allows and the request does not forbid it, we tell you first. Our procedure is described in the Privacy Policy.
Ideas, suggestions, and other feedback you send us are non-confidential and become the Company's property; we may use them for any purpose without compensation or attribution.
You agree not to: interfere with or overburden the App; probe, attack, or bypass its security or content protections; misrepresent your identity or affiliation with the Company; use another person's account, or open another account to get around a block, a pause, or a closed Room; post or send anything automatically or in bulk; collect or store information about other members; scrape the Room; or use the App in violation of any law, these Terms, or the Community Guidelines.
These Terms are between you and the Company only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the App. If the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the App's purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. As between Apple and the Company, the Company is responsible for the App and its content, for addressing any claims relating to it (including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection), and for the investigation and resolution of any third-party intellectual-property claims. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with applicable third-party terms (for example, your wireless carrier's). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
THE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE COMPANY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANY PROTOCOL, TECHNIQUE, OR FRAMEWORK WILL PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT, PSYCHOLOGICAL, RELATIONAL, FINANCIAL, OR OTHERWISE, OR THAT IT IS SAFE OR APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES. THE COMPANY DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR SAFETY OF ANYTHING WRITTEN BY A MEMBER OF THE READERS' ROOM. INDIVIDUAL RESULTS DEPEND ENTIRELY ON YOUR EXECUTION, CIRCUMSTANCES, PSYCHOLOGICAL STATE, AND JUDGMENT. THE COMPANY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) THE RELEASED PARTIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF DATA, OR PSYCHOLOGICAL OR EMOTIONAL HARM, ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THESE TERMS, THE APP, OR ANY CONTENT POSTED BY A MEMBER; AND (B) THE RELEASED PARTIES' AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU ACTUALLY PAID THE COMPANY FOR THE SPECIFIC CONTENT OR SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS IF YOU PAID NOTHING. THESE LIMITATIONS ARE AN ESSENTIAL BASIS OF THE BARGAIN AND APPLY EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from all claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use or misuse of the App, anything you post or send in the Readers' Room, your violation of these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or any third party's rights, or your application of any material contained in the App.
Before filing any claim, you and the Company agree to notify each other in writing within 30 days of the dispute arising (to hello@stantaylor.com) and attempt in good faith to resolve it informally. If unresolved after 30 days, any dispute arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved by final and binding arbitration before a single JAMS arbitrator in Laramie County, Wyoming, under the JAMS rules and the Federal Arbitration Act. You and the Company each waive the right to a jury trial and agree that disputes will be arbitrated only on an individual basis, with no class actions, class arbitrations, or representative proceedings. Claims must be brought within one year of arising or are permanently barred, where the law allows. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court, or seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual-property violations. You may opt out of arbitration entirely by emailing hello@stantaylor.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating your full name and your intent to opt out. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another place whose law gives you the right to bring claims in your local courts, nothing in this section takes that right away.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to the arbitration provision, exclusive jurisdiction lies in the state and federal courts of Laramie County, Wyoming. If you are a consumer in a place whose law gives you additional protections that cannot be waived, you keep them.
We may suspend or terminate your access, or close the Readers' Room to your account, for violation of these Terms or the Community Guidelines, following the ladder described in "The Readers' Room" except in serious cases, and you may stop using the App or delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (including the licenses' restrictions, the licence you grant for your contributions to the extent needed for records, the release, warranty disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, and the dispute provisions) survive termination.
We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version with a new effective date; material changes will be notified in the App, and material changes to the Room's rules must be accepted again before you next take part. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. We may modify or discontinue features of the App; if we ever discontinue the App itself, we will make reasonable efforts to give owners notice and a path to their content. Pre-release versions of the App distributed through TestFlight or a similar program are provided for testing and may contain defects.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Community Guidelines, the Copyright Policy, and the Content & Mental Health Warning are the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the App. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Notices to you may be given in the App or by email to your account address.
