The Readers' Room, in plain words. This is the one place readers of the books talk to each other. It is private, for adults, and read before it is published. These Guidelines are part of the Terms of Use; you accept them at the door.
• Attack the idea, never the person. Disagree as hard as you like. Insult a member once and you are out.
• What is shared here stays here. No screenshots of other people's stories, no private information about anyone, no photos of people who did not agree to be posted.
• Be decent. No baiting, no pile-ons, no contempt for anyone in the room. Disagreement is welcome; cruelty is not. Selling, recruiting and pitching are spam and are removed.
• Illegal content: nothing unlawful where you live. Anything involving a child is removed and reported to the authorities, no exceptions.
• Sexual content: no nudity, sexual acts, or solicitation. This is not that room.
• Violence: no threats against anyone, no incitement, no glorifying violence.
• Harassment: disagree with the idea as hard as you like; never go after the person, and never pile on.
• Hate: no attacks on people for who they are, and no hate symbols in photos.
• Self-harm: you may talk about your own struggle and ask for support. No method, no encouragement, no glamour, and nothing that promotes disordered eating.
• Private information: no addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, or photos of people who did not agree. Screenshots of private conversations stay private.
• Deception: no pretending to be Stan, the team, or another reader. No scams, no fake stories told as fact to move people.
• Spam: no selling, recruiting, affiliate links, or repeated posting.
• Dangerous instruction: discuss ideas; do not instruct. No doses, protocols, supplements, or investment moves presented as advice.
• Copyright: quote the books freely. Keep other authors' work to a short quote, and never share pirated files or links.
Your own story, however dark. The manipulation you lived through. The tactic you finally saw. The chapter that landed. A question. A photo from your walk. Quote the books freely, and link to the chapter you mean: the App turns a chapter link into a card that opens the page.
Say so. Posts about your own hard days are read with care, never rejected for being heavy, and the App shows crisis lines for your country. If you are in danger, please call them now. The Room is peer conversation, not counselling: nobody here, staff included, is a licensed professional, and nothing written here is medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
Every post, comment, profile photo, and private message is checked by an automated system before it appears, usually within seconds. Anything unclear waits for a person. If something of yours is held or not published, you see which rule applies, whether a machine or a person decided, and how to appeal; a different person reviews the appeal, normally within seven days, and you are told the outcome.
Repeat breaches follow a ladder: a warning, then a seven-day pause on posting and messaging, then a thirty-day pause, then the door closes for good. Serious cases, including anything illegal, threats, and anything involving minors, skip the ladder.
If an intimate image of you was posted without your consent, use the Report action with the reason "Intimate image shared without consent" or the form at my.stantaylor.com/legal/intimate-image-removal; it comes down within 48 hours. Copyright and trademark notices, and notices about content you believe is illegal, go through my.stantaylor.com/legal/notice, whether or not you are a member. Report anything that worries you: every post, comment, photo, profile, and message has a Report action, and reports are answered within 24 hours (urgent ones within the hour). Block anyone you do not want to hear from; a block is mutual and nobody is told who blocked whom. Mute anyone you would rather not see; they will not know. People who are not members can raise a concern at my.stantaylor.com/support.
You take part under the name on your book order (first and last name, as you gave it at checkout) or under a random name the App assigns; you may switch between the two once. Typed-in names are not offered, so nobody can pose as someone else. Add an optional photo, a short bio, and a colour or emoji for your circle if you like. Names and photos that imitate Stan, the team, or another member are not allowed. Stan's posts and the team's carry a red seal; a "Group expert" badge recognises a member's contribution to the Room, not a professional credential.
Up to four photos on a post or message. Photos are checked like words, stripped of hidden data such as location before they are stored, and shown only to members. Post only photos you have the right to share.
Messages are private between the two of you and are checked automatically before delivery; a message that breaks the rules is not delivered, and the sender is told why. Nobody on the team reads a conversation unless one of you reports it, safety demands it, or the law requires it.
